- Blessings to "Dateline" correspondent Dennis Murphy for dressing up like Mario Brothers villain Wario during his report last week. It was a case about a wife who was murdered, and as always, the husband was responsible. Next time, Dennis, stick to Yoshi and Goomba costumes!
- Blessings to the man at the Amtrak station whose ringtone was an extremely loud air raid siren. When his phone rang at about 5:30 AM, everyone at the station got silent and thought there was some sort of emergency. The man then nonchalantly answered his phone. Why would you have that as your ringtone, sir??
- Blessings to the microwave in our office break room, which has had this post-it note for several months:
- Blessings to the man in the American Family Fitness locker room who I overheard telling a friend that he has exciting news from DNA testing site "23 and Me." According to the website, he is fourth-cousins with former NFL star Herschel Walker. Fun!
- Blessings to another man in the American Family Fitness locker room on a cell phone saying that he is "very interested in Bitcoin" and will "send the routing number" when he gets home. Huh??
Fun gym locker room topics
- Blessings to my car radio for making me laugh out loud. When a 1980s hit single from Corey Hart started playing, the radio display listed the artist as "Corey Hart" and the song as "Asses at Night."
- Blessings to an Amtrak passenger who appeared to be disgusted with his popcorn snack. How did this even happen??
- Blessings to the flower salesman outside of Union Station in Washington. The proprietor always offers flowers at $5 for a half-dozen. On Valentine's Day, he had a big sign featuring a "special" price of $10 for a dozen. Sir, that is not a sale!
Until next time - blessings to everyone involved!
